Line Installation/Activation Rates

Installing and/or activating up to ten voice/data/video lines is a routine order. Use the Online Service Center (OSC) for placing routine orders.

When ordering, bundle as many of these types of jobs into one order as you can; that way, there is only one Service Order Charge—and there may be less overall travel and set-up time required.

If no existing communications outlet exists or if rewiring is required, then new outlet or rewiring outlet rates apply. Also, monthly line usage charges are in addition to telephone and video installation charges.

Service Request Estimate Rate
Add/Activate a Phone Line to have a new phone line (with a new phone number) installed and/or activated. Use the Order Estimator to get the general cost for a routine order. A more specific estimate will be provided when an order is placed.
Add a Phone Line and Activate a Data Line to have a new phone line and a new data line installed and/or activated on the same outlet.
Add/Activate a Data Line to have a new data line installed and/or activated.
Move a Phone Line to have an existing phone line, and its associated phone number, moved from one campus location to another.
Move a Phone Line and Activate a Data Line to have an existing phone line, and its associated phone number, moved from one campus location to another and to activate a data line at the new location.
Change a Phone Set to change the type of physical phone used on a particular line—for example, to change from a basic to an electronic phone set. Changing a phone set does not change the phone number.

Installing or activating more than ten voice/data/video lines is a coordinated request. A coordinated request is handled by an ITCom Project Manager.
